Impressive improvements by the US distance runners of late ... Lincoln, Tegenkamp, and now the above. Thumbs Up

Kara has been having a tremendous year. It seems she has been responding to the training up here with the Farm Team and Salazar even better than Adam has.

Yeah, I had thought Adam would have been there by now ... Actually I thought he'd be around 13:00 or better by now ...

He missed a lot of time with injuries. I'm actually surprised he's come back as far as he has. I thought his career was over 4 years ago.

Oh I know hte injuries got him ... Just as they did Kennedy ... Why does training at that level seem to injure our athletes but not other folks' ???

I would guess it's similar, just: a) we're more familiar with the domestics, so we're more aware of their injuries, and b) the African countries (which basically are distance running) have so many more to draw from, we only hear the same name for a few years in many cases, then they fall by the wayside and are replaced by someone just as fast.

Agreed there - there are so many that can fill the shoes there and seemingly so few here - I remain hopeful though that the tide is turning a bit.
