I've actually been to Western States ... To say it is a tough run is putting it mildly !!! And there are lots of changes in altitude up and down !!! I'm not sure why anyone would want to run it but then I'm sure there a lot of people lwho can't understand why anyone would want ot sprint or hurdle ... Different strokes for different folks I suppose !!!!

When were you there?
Was it during the race?
What section did you see?
Who did you see running?
What did they have to say?
What kind of condition were they in?

Yikes !!! Shoulda kept my mouth shut ... I've been afew times actually .... Believe it or not ... Couldn't tell ya who was there ... Just went for the heck of it ... I'm a track junkie what do ya expect ... Mostly the end by the American River where the split is ... But have kinda followed along up on that end ... If you came to california and ran I'd go watch ... And might even crew for ya !!! Wink
