Do you think the holster is causing a circulation problem?? My wife agrees with your treatment, in fact, that's her treatment of choice for everything!!
A couple of years ago I started doing a lot of ankle, calf, and achilles warmups before I even left the house. I noticed the difference right away. And if I neglected them my lower legs would always get tight during my workout.

The white zinfandel must have worked.
Actually, I walked to loosen up the ankle this morning before running 4. Everything felt much better. I think I will retire the ankle holster though. |

Micah, speaking of police work, I've got a story to drop on ya! I was the Desk Sergeant for the 57th MP Company stationed at West Point in'71-'72.

Outstanding!! I was in the Air Force 79-84 and had the opportunity to visit West Point. It is an impressive place. |

Hey Ultra guys, I heard that they had to cancel the Hard Rock 100 because of the fires. Was this one of the big ones or is it just another ultra, if there is such a thing. _________________ Time is the fire in which we burn |

Hardrock is a big one. It is arguably the toughest of the 100 mile trail runs. BTW, Western States is going on right now. I'm putting in updates as I get them so check the Western States thread in the Distance Den. They are 62 miles in at last check and is shaping up as a close race. |

Going in for surgery this Friday, 3 PM. There was a cancellation so I was able to get in probably a month sooner. This means after rehab, I may still have a bit of the summer left.

Paul, good luck with the surgery. We tend to be praying people down here in the south so I'll send one your way for a speedy recovery.
Keep us posted. |

Thanks, all!!!
Micah, Oregon is a pretty secular state. I'm probably one of the few you would find in a pew on Sunday morning!
Now I just gotta order me some Western States stuff to keep me warm and fuzzy at night!!

Training is good. I have the option of Bluffton again on Saturday or a Friday night 5K in Savannah. I haven't decided yet. If the lovely and charming Ms. Ward will go to Savannah with me I may do that one and stop off at the Six Pence Pub after the race.
We must replinish our nurishment you know. |
