Yes, indeed! Not much to brag about, though. No one fast ran the 10k and I probably had a 5 minute lead before some bad stomach problems kicked in midway through. I still won by nearly 3 minutes and third place was another 3 minutes back. For someone not accustomed to winning races, it was a very weird feeling being out in front the entire way, with no lead bike, no mile marks, and no knowledge of the area (residential road course).
I'm thinking it's been since elementary school since I had last won a race...
The foot is still pretty screwed up, but I'm slowly working through it after a 2 week break. I hope to be ready for the next race on July 4th, but it feels like a bit of a long shot right now.
