Who do individuals think, will be the next wave of 400 sprinters (male and/or female) in the United States .. Given that we start the men with the Harrisons and Washington ?? |

The women seem to have some obvious choices with recent grads like Suzanne Reid and the Barbers, plus the South Carolina crew and the recent high school record setters. I'm not aware of anyone promising coming up on the men's side, but Washington and the Harrisons are still relatively young, albeit about as inconsistent as they come at that level. Up and down is one thing, but disappearing from site for a year or two at a time?

Well one has to recharge one's batteries from time to time .. the 400 is hard work
I too am excited about the women's side of things for a change .. The young ladies coming out of high school in the next couple of years are not only fast over 400 but have good 200 and 100 times .. And I think THAT is going ot be the key .. When you look at the women's 400 historically it has been teh women with exceptional foot speed that have truly dominated the event .. |
