Lausanne Men's 200m line-up is great!
1. Nyangani
2. Merritt
3. Vaden
4. Obikwelu
5. Gay
6. Bolt
7. Spearmon
8. Carter
I pick Spearmon to win in 19.92 with the other big names to follow closely behind. Merritt should run under his Indoor PR of 20.40, and Carter should look to challenge 20.00 if he runs well
As we know Powell & Gat will not be at this meeting for 'health' reasons

Women's 100m should be a close contest again between Jones & Simpson. I can see Jones getting her first sub-10.90 since 2K2

That's an interesting mix of people moving up and down.

I knew carter was special but I wasn,t expecting 19.63. What a race . I can't believe I missed it.
12.88 by Xiang with arnold second in 12.90. What a race.
On form you would have expected spearmon and trammell to win but never expected those times.
The 200m all-time list has really been shaken up.
And carter now at a 10.09 / 19.63 / 44.53 combi, only MJ has bettered this and this man is only getting started. |

You had to figure Carter has a lot of 200m potential, being very good at both the 100 and 400, but daaaaaang!!!

... and from lane 8... !! Gay was out really fast from 5. Carter's closing speed was jaw dropping. Check out this video if you have broadband:

Watched the men's 100, also. Scott got a good start but never really pulled away from anyone. Marion just overpowered everyone in the last 15m in the women's race. _________________ Paul

Scott didn't get reeled in like he usually does. I think he may be onto something there [even though the race was ''only'' 10.05]
Carter's last 100m was monsterous! Gay must've had at least 2m on him until 150m and he closed him down like he was standing still!
Marion appears to be getting back to her old self. It's only a matter of time before she begins to run consistent sub-10.90 again _________________ Doubt whom you will, But never yourself.

Carter showed this speed at NCAA's ... Ran the field down on the backstretch of the 4x1 to put LSU way out in front ... And ran fok down the same way in the 100 ... This kid is just getting started ... And the scariest part is that he is so technically flawed !!!! HE's just whippin people on pure speed and heart !!!!! _________________ Conway
