Geb recently broke the half marathon and 20k world records with style. There's a story about it at iaaf.org |

Crazy huh... What was very interesting is that it seemed through the interview he had rabbits basically to keep him conservative... He picked up the pace after they peeled off.

I was one of the 54% of the voters on LetsRun that didn't think he would break the record. I should have known better.
On a side note my son is named: Gabriel Adam Gonzales. At the time of his birth Geb was the best distance runner in the world and Adam Goucher was the best American. And so my son was named after the two. |

Now you just need to move 20 miles from any school so that he has to run both ways every day and he'll run just as well |

I imagine 10 miles each way would be sufficient, at least until middle school... With a name like that, it'll be tough to restrain from pushing him into the sport.
54/46 is pretty close to neutral, which makes sense for Geb and a record attempt. He does it often enough that you don't really know if he'll hit the mark or not.

My wife thinks that my son's name is biblical. Lucky for me she doesn't post on running sites. He definatly has the frame for running but his stride is horrible. I have tried to get him to complete some drills but 3 year olds are not interested in A skips or Striders. He is just not dedicated |

Start him on lunges. That'll teach him to talk back...
