Right now, it looks like they just have everyone listed who's been invited. I'm assuming it will be pared down in the next couple days.

Looks like a very solid group for you. I figure 100 points per athlete if things go reasonably well, which would move you well up the list again.
I'm looking at:
100m
Gatlin
Scott
800m
Mulaudzi
Mwera
5k
Kipchoge
Geneti
100m
L. Williams
Colander
400m
Richards
800m
Mutola
Sinclair
Valdonado
5k
Bati Gelete
Not quite as strong as I hoped for, but at least Kipchoge is finally lining up. Hopefully good for 1300 points and at least holding ground...

Nah, I'll hold you at bay. I still outscored you by 100 points last meet ... just the spots are harder to pick off at the top. Call it diminishing returns.

I'm not so sure ... I think big points from Pgnon, Barber and Laalou will get me closer this time around ... Not to mention the points that Benhassi and Timbilli are gonna garner ... I'll be "movin on up" ... _________________ Conway

Nice Rosters all of you! Hoep I can make up some points this time!
Gonna be tough I think I tried real hard to find bargains so I could have more athletes and although I obviously took some big names as well maybe I shoul dhave done it a different way - who knows Will have to wait until the end of the season to be sure... _________________ The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat. |

Don't you love all the second guessing? So many different ways you can go with roster selection... If Crawford doesn't start racing soon, he's the one I'll be regretting all season long for adding at the last second in favor of Cherkasova and Zakari, but then there were also other last minute additions I'm quite pleased with, like Calatayud. You win some, you lose some.

No kidding I am so regretting at this point Dropping Baala off the list since I had him origianlly and with some tweaking at the end he just didn't fit anymore - went with Bungei because I wasn't sure Baala was going to be up to snuff or not... (yeah I know they are different events but the $)
Although I think there were some great deal sout there as well _________________ The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat. |

Actually there are two fool proof ways to choose a team.
And nobody knows either of them.  _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

Reminds me of my calc prof's old joke, "there are three types of mathematicians in the world, those who can count and those who can't."

The first year I focused on high priced stars ... Guys that were near sure bets to win their races ... Only problem was they didn't run very often ...
Since then I've tried different variations on spending my money on "budget athletes" ... With the addition this year that I took a look to see how many of my people were running in the first meet - and ended up making a few adjustments based on that ... So we will see how it goes ... _________________ Conway

My research this year was mostly based on early season meets, trying to get a feel for who would run a full schedule and who might be the big "step-up" athletes. However, laziness and preparing to leave for a week got the best of me at the last minute and I didn't do any meet #1 entry list research... There's definitely a couple of teeter totter decisions I wouldn't have changed had I done so.
