Can food additives, such as BHT and BHA have a negative effect on health. What about on exercise performance? |

bht and bha are preservatives that keep fats in food from going rancid
utylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT)

they arein a lot of packaged cereal and stuff i've been eating, so i was wondering if its safe or not |

In general, my view of preservatives is not so favorable. I don't see why these would be any different. My opinion is, any food deemed requiring lots of unpronounceable preservatives isn't healthy enough to be a regular part of your diet in the first place.
