It's not every day a mediocre HS runner like myself can work with one of the most renowned coaches in America. He showed me some stuff I can do in the pool while I wait for my leg to heal. Hopefully I'll be able to do some track work with him in the future. _________________ November 9th... |

As I understand it, Dick Brown invented the aqua jogger.

Hey, Dan, welcome back to the forum. You've only posted twice in the last week!! I thought I was the only person who could get away with that. Last night's w/o: 4 x 2000 avg 9:20, 1:25 jog between runs. Under the lights at Lewis and Clark, all by myself. 9 pm - still 73 out. Very cool!! Will, hope you're recovering quickly. I'm about ready to tackle the Silver Falls Park trails and I'm going to need some company.

Yes, but I had an excuse for half of it... We were up in Tacoma over the weekend for our conference meet. Left at noon on Friday and got back at 11pm last night.

We had a few mishaps along the way (like our 2nd place men's 4x400 getting DQ'd for a non-matching singlet and our 400/800 finalist (top prelim time in the 400) getting deathly ill Saturday night and throwing up all night and not running Sunday), but all in all it went quite well.

Run backward. Youl'll get the same effect and not risk getting DQ'd...

Really? He said he had "connections" with the company and could send me one. Looks like I'll be spending some time at the Sparks Center. _________________ November 9th... |

That's the way I heard it. He supposedly sold out his interest in the company/product at some point, so maybe that's what he means about having connections.
