Mt SAC is this weekend ... Lots of big names in attendance ...
Marion Jones is entered in the Invitational 200 meters ... I would think anything slower than 22.25 would be considered poor for her ... At least if she intends to be a sub 22 performer this year ...
And boyfriend Tim Montgomery is entered in the 100 ... The Olympic Development / University / Open event ... He will not be running in the Invitational race which has Mo Greene, Justin Gatlin, JJ Johnson, Tim Harden and Leonard Scott !!!!! Go figure ... Seems Timmy's psychie is still fragile ...
The 110 hurdles will have Crear, Johnson, Arnold, Bramlett, and Wade ...
And the Invitational 200 will have both Drummond and Boldon ... As well as Wallace Spearmon, Claudinei da Silva, Marquis Davis and Mickey Grimes ...
Interesting that the Invitational 800 has Lagat and Berryhill as entrants ...
Nicole Teter is in the women's 1500 ...
Should be a very high level affair ... I would expect that a few worl leaders should emerge from this meet ... Feel free to discuss !!!!!

Looks like a very high quality meet, perhaps more so than usual.

That or he couldn't get into the "A" heat. 
Lagat and Berryhill in the 800 should be interesting... Let's hope Teter can finally come fully back. I assume this is Marion's first race since Indoor? We've got one of our coaches in the fast heat of the 400 Open section on Saturday. Not sure he's in quite that shape right now, though...

My bet is that Timmy opted out of the Invitational race ... Which is a shame ... When was the last time a sitting WR holder didn't run in an Invitational race in any event ????
this will be Marion's first race ... We'll see how she does ... But she has to know what was run last year in her absence ... And the times were as good as anything she has done for several years now ... She has to go back 4 seasons to find a season where she was clearly better than what has been run recently ...
I'd like to see Teter do well ... If she can return to form, she and this year's revelation could make things interesting for the US in Athens ...

Yes I saw Kelli as possibly her biggest threat ... But Gaines finished the season as possibly the best on the track at the end ... And she has been amazingly quiet so far ... Torrie Edwards had a decent indoor season ... And actually I thought Marion was a bit sub par - at least compared to what she should be ...

Yes she was ... Which is why I am wondering what is going on with her ... Something just doesn't feel right about the women's side of things right now ...

Hope not ... That takes Gaines and White out of the picture and they were two of the primary players last year ... That in essence would put Jones in the dirvers seat without a fight !!!! THAT would be a travesty in my opinon, cause I think she is ripe to be unseated ... And of course she is linked to BALCO too, so would be a double travesty for the two of them (Gaines and White) and Jones not to ...
