|
|
Heya all. 2 days ago I started trying out interval training/HIIT, as in running for 30 sec, going slow 30, then running and so on. Had this really steep slope behind the house. Did 3 rounds, was totally exhausted after the third round. I mean really exhausted, almost had to puke when I got inside. Had to lay down for like 30-45 minutes after, my heart was really pounding.
The thing is, still now, 2 days after, I can feel this dull ache in the left side of the chest, on the underside of the breast(male), but inside the ribcage. It doesnt really hurt much, just a little, but was worried it could be something with the heart. Im only 26 years old though.
Could there be something else than the heart? Maybe since I really overdid it the first time. Haven`t been jogging before that either, only doing some muscular exercises indoors.
Thanks for any replies. |

That's a tough one to offer advice on, being a potentially a major medical issue. Most likely, it's related to the usual early season hard workout nausea or the lung burn that often accompanies cold speed work, but it sounds worth getting it checked out just to be safe.

Hopefully it is minor and that very well may be the case, but like it has already been said if you have chest pain/discomfort have it checked out immediately. _________________ 7/10/03 - 325

I agree .. chest pain is nothing to take lightly, regardless if the pain has since gone away .... get that checked out .... if for no other reason than peace of mind! Some ailments can be self diagnosed, but not in this area ..... |
