The daughter and I ran a 5K at Burke Lake Park yesterday morning. It is the park where she ran XC in high school but the course yesterday was all on road. I am not exaggerating when I say that there was NO flat ground on the course. There were 5 decent hills and the rest of the time was either up or down. No flat what so ever!
She cruised with a 23:19 and was 7th female and 2nd in her age group. I lumbered along in 25:38 which age grades to 23:26. So she still has bragging rights. The temp was in the mid 70's so we were glad for the shade which covered most of the course.
And after the race they had hamburgers, hotdogs and chocolate chip cookies. My kind of a race _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

Sounds like a rough course! I'm not sure I could hold down that sort of food after a hard run, though. I liked Bloomsday's approach of all the fresh fruit you could eat.
