___The Stockholm starting least looks both impressive and promising. The Gardener/ Miller showdown over the 60 m may produce some fast times.
___Borzakovskyi's participation in the 800 m shows that he is back on the right path not to become just another "great lost hope," but a big name athlete. Andre Bucher, Wilson Kipketer, Wilfred Bungei, and Nils Schumann are the big-name participants. The field of the 800 m looks almost, if not exactly, the same as the top six from the World Championships'2001 with the exception of the bronze medalist Czapiewski, and the addition of the before mentioned Borzakovskyi.
___One thing makes me wonder: Is the Stokholm indoor track oversized or did the author of the "latest news" last article make an auxulliary mistake. The title states: · "Two lap showdown..." over the 800 m.
___Canal/Plawgo/Baulch 'war' over the two laps may bring a lot of excitement. Hopefully, Plawgo will not be as confused as Borzakovskyi over the last few years, and will not repeat his own mistake. The last year he came to believe that being the Indoor European Champion over the 400 m flat would easily translate into a medal in the outdoor championships. Plawgo, a 400 m hurdler, was fourth in the outdoor European Championships in the flat 400 m version last year. Baulch certainly will bring experience into the mix (good push within the regulation* or push--back - - may mean a lot in the indoor 400 m where only the first 100 m are run in separate lanes), and Canal the feel of the rising 400 m European scale power -- Spain.
*reminds me of: Mackowiak pushing back the Russian and getting gold in the Lisbon WIC'2001, and Plawgo pushing the German athlete in the 2002 Euro's 4x400 m relay, and Poland being DQ'ed.

Impressive, looking down the list of birth dates for the 800m, how much younger most of Kipketer's competition is. Kiptoo isn't really 37 or 38, is he?? I didn't think he's bee around that long...

Bergqvist, the high jumper, has been having quite an indoor season. 2nd or 3rd meet well over 2 meters.

It is going to be very sad, indeed sad day, when Borzakovskyi will go to the Olympics, and not come back even with as little as a medal. I hope that it will not happen, but it is ver likely. He is playing with hot fire, and fire does burn.
