Hi everyone,
I'm writing to invite you to check out a new race directory called raceseeker.com. It's a community supported site with running, cycling, and triathlon races. You will be able to find, add, and review races from all over the world.
We need runners to add local/favorite races to the directory!!
If you don't mind, we'd love to invite you to sign up and add any of your favorite races. You can also review races, bookmark races, and create a race calendar. So pretty useful for planning out your race season.
The site was designed by athletes FOR athletes.
Check it out: http://www.raceseeker.com
Thanks!!! |

Sounds like a good resource.

Dan, why are most races (the ones that people apply for) mostly marathons and 10Ks? Is it because the average person can't run an 800 or a mile? That does bring up an interesting point though because all I see are really young runners that participate in middle distance. Maybe shorter distances that require more speed place too much strain on older people? _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8

Most runners are of the recreational variety, and most recreational runners train for road races, not track events/distances. Generally speaking, people training for track stuff do so because they're on a team, i.e. in school.
