hello all,
I am taking on a walk/run for the cure soon----re Cancer. I have never done this before and wanted some tips. The max is 5 km but you can choose to walk as well-------not sure what I need to take along? I guess a good water bottle in a sling that won't hinder movement?

They make various water belts that fit sort of like a fanny pack and are fairly unobtrusive while exercising.

You could also make an isotonic drink with like 2/3 water and the rest being orange squash. That will keep your electrolytes up for a long run, and it's also not one of those Gatorade or Red Bull drinks that boost your energy and then you collapse at the end. Keep the fibers from the orange in the drink too, those contain phosphorus. Bring some music too so you don't have to listen to your constant breathing and landings every time. It makes time pass very fast. _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8
