I suppose it's nearing that time...
The defintes are men's 100, 400, 1500, 3k/5k, and LJ, and women's 100, 400, 3k/5k, and HJ. Men's Jav and women's 100h we don't have a good scoring model for.
That gives us 9 GL events, which is pretty good. Just a matter of adding a tenth non-GL event that looks like it'll be contested often enough. I'd lean toward the women's 800 if it looks like it'll show up in enough of the meets.

Let's try and keep this limited to which events to include in the Fantasy league, not which events you would like to see added to the sport or the merits of specific athletes and life expectancies...

the 800 or 1500 seem to be the best fit there _________________ The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat. |

All things being equal I think the 800 is a more competitive event - closer times and more people with possibilities to win... makes for a fun game when people can pick out someone that might have a breakthrough season last year you could get some people that I am sure will be much higher this year for not a whole lot of $$

I'd also take a look at the men's 200 ... I think it will be offered more this year given that the talent base in that event is starting to pile up ... Its actually a deeper event right now than the 100 !!!! And with Carter looking like he will be going to Europe, and Wariner giveing the event some focus this year ... That makes a tough event from last year even tougher ... Almost forcing promoters to put it on the schedule ... _________________ Conway

I'd like to include the 200, but we've been burnt on it before and we're already pretty well set on the men's side.

I, too, have been watching Wariner with interest in the shorter races. What do you think his potential is this year in the 200 ?? _________________ Paul

Do you think Wariner would ever make a permanent move up to 800m ?? _________________ Paul
