___I am trying to start a new thing or a combination of two old ideas. Pavvka and JonMulk hold prediction competitions, and Dan holds annual Fantasy Track and Field League. I want to hold a micro league during the winter.

I've talked with a few people in the past about setting up a "fantasy circle" of sorts -- basically cross-promoting the various prediction contests held throughout the year.

___I think that it would be a great idea. I even forgot the name of the european web site where you can make predictions and win cash as well as another web site where you can make long distance predictions and win something Crying or Very sad Wink

I forgot that the worlds would not be competed this year.
Therefore, we have to choose two meets in the United States and the
European Indoor Championships.

___My prediction for the last 200 meters run by men is . . .
. . . rather wishful:
2002 Vienna/AUT (1.-3.3.03, Ferry Dusika Stadion)
1 Marcin Urbas POL 20.64

2 Christian Malcolm GBR 20.65

3 Robert Mackowiak POL 20.77

4 Daniel Caines GBR 21.14

5 Radek Zachoval CZE 21.15

6 Marcin Jedrusinski POL Wink
. . . I hope that the West Slavs -- three Poles and one Czech* -- will again
crush the British coalition. Let the Union Jack fly low as low as
possible.

___I believe that the first chance at making a prediction will be Boston USATF meet. REMEMBER: this fantasy thing is not about a particular event, but making three predictions as well as possible. There will be 4 chances to score points: two American meets, one double--points European Indoor Championships, and one half-the-points Australian meet Smile.

. . . I might have made a mistake:
___I just saw an article on Sebastian Ernst and Tobias Unger from Germany running sub 20.40 seconds for 200 meters during the Olympics. It should translate to about under 20.70 seconds indoors. What do you think about the final without any British 200 meter--specialists? Wink

Dan, I'd be interested in such a project if you're willing.

Feel free to email me about it.
