|

The Van Damme meet was Friday and all my athletes who participated scores remain the same as if they never competed. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem with their athletes scores? Does anyone know when the scores will be updated? Appreciate the help. |

I've been on vacation since midway through the Olympics. Just got back late last night and will get results for the past 2 meets entered and scored today.

Memorial Van Damme results are posted now, too.
Conway finally made true on his promise to crack the top 10!

Too bad it's such a big gap between you and #8...
Quite the battle shaping up between Paul and Micah.

Wow, I almost got 900 points from the OG's. Micah must be going through some Frances aftermath. _________________ Paul

The major malfunction of the Fighting Warthogs is that I put too much faith in a small squad of big names and some of those names haven't produced the points I expected. Such as:
Sammy Kipketer 132 points
Andre Bucher 59 points
Lorraine Fenton 0
Chandra Sturrup 0
Gabriela Szabo 0
Gail Devers 0
Alan Webb 0
I also thought Tiffany McWilliams was a good pick for some cheap points but she got injured and has been out all year.
So to borrow a phrase from Cubs fans......."Wait 'til next year!" _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

LOL ... I agree with you - kinda ... When I looked at my team and your team before the start of the season I figured that we might be in for a close tussle .... Cause they are similarly built ...
It seems the difference between success and less success in this game is very fragile ... One or two athletes one way or the other ... I have a lot of athletes that haven't done squat and some who I expected little of that have really come through ...
Been fun though ... And I think we finally got the pricing thing down right ... Besides, what did you expect from Warthogs ??? _________________ Conway

After 9 meets, I've got a pretty good list of goose eggs going, too:
ABEYLEGESSE, Elvan - WR
AYHAN, Süreyya - fastest in the world last year
BOLT, Usain - fastest in the world this year
BROWN, Darrel - 2nd best last year
DEVERS, Gail
HENDERSON, Monique
KRUMMENACKER, David
SULLIVAN, Kevin
WEBB, Alan - I epxected this one...

Shaun Crawford, Tirunesh Dibada, and Eluid Kipchoge are my biggest and only disappointments-all three raced numerous times in 2002 and 2003 and are now having limited races in 2004 (and not injuried). Something to remember when 2005 run-down League starts next year about big time athletes with high prices.
