The Sweet Baboo and I went out last night in search of a grilled chicken salad. (The road to rotundity is paved with good intentions.) Unfortunately we were side tracked by a new resturaunt.
It started bad with the warm french bread and honey butter. Then it was shrimp and grits with a spicy brown etoufee gravy, New Orleans style Andoille sausage, cole slaw and hush puppies. Topped off with a cocoa bread pudding and chocolate sauce. All washed down with Abita Turbodog beer.
And we made reservations for Valentines Day.
Back to the woodshed Paul.  _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

You have way too much good sounding food down south for anyone to remain skinny.
Maybe this thread can be your New Years Resolution of sorts. Your look-in-the-mirror reminder...
By the way, I saw a reference the other day to the "Sweet Baboo" being an old Snoopy thing.

Dude ... Shrimp and grits ??? How can you ruin shrimp with grits ...
Southern style cooking is hard to overcome .. Grew up with it my whole life and that is how I learned to cook ... California Cuisine has nothing on good ole fashioned Southern cooking ... Maybe you need to move out of the south !!!!! _________________ Conway

Very tough to push yourself away from. Quantico was a goal you had to achieve or you simply wouldn't have been accepted. I know that you will come up with a way to drop that weight, simply because it will make such a difference on your lower extremities. _________________ Paul

That's why when you get healthy you'll really should tell yourself that you're going to complete a marathon. Not only will running that much burn a helluva lot of cals, but your body will be way too tired to go out in search of food. I've lost 7 pounds in two weeks from this routine. _________________ November 9th... |

Conway...grits don't ruin shrimp, they compliment shrimp....
Good observation Dan, Sweet Baboo was Lucy's term of endearment for Linus.
OK back to the salad today. Will and Paul are right about those goals. _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

Did it again.
Sweet Baboo took me to Savannah for my birthday. We started with High Tea (finger sandwiches, scones, quiche, etc), then it was crab cakes and Old Speckled Hen amber ale. We took a ghost tour while that settled and then had seafood at a restaurant built in 1771. We spent the night in a 200 year old, haunted bed & breakfast inn. The next morning saw Belgian waffles at the inn, a trip to the cemetary featured in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and then more seafood for lunch.
I'm still full.  _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

Ouch, that'll take a few days to burn off. Sounds tasty, at least.
