Hi Dan,
I have a question for you, but I'm not sure you can help me. When my roommate runs the week before her period, she gets HORRIBLE uterine cramps within the first mile. This has just started in the past 3 months. She is a marathon runner, but only runs four miles a day on the weekdays. Once the cramps start, she stops and walks a bit and they quit. She then can start running after they quit. Have you heard of anything like this happening to other women? Do you know what causes it and what changes she can make to stop them? Thanks for any advice. Laura.

Hi Laura,
You're right, I don't think I can help you... I would suggest contacting someone with more actual medical knowledge. This might get you started.
Good luck,
Dan |
