Conway and Dan, I just looked at ya'lls teams. You don't have teams...you have armies!!!!
I guess I put all my eggs in one basket again this year with fewer athletes. But surely with this being an Olympics year they will all run. I guess we will see who'se strategy works. _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

I haven't dared to look at anyone else's team yet ... Don't want to second guess myself ... My team is large this year ... But there were some awesome buys out there ... Was much easier to load up this year ... Try to ensure that I had people that would be competing each meet ... Some of them were so cheap I just couldn't pass them up ... I did find it hard picking distance runners this time though ... They have let me down so much in the past ... So my team is much more speed oriented ... We'll see how that works .... _________________ Conway

That's generally the winning strategy. But with the massive shift in pricing this year, it's anybody's guess...
At one point, I think I had eight guys in the 200 and another 5-6 in the 100, plus around 5 women in the 400. I think my roster stands at 30 currently, so yes, it could be counted as an army. Lots of long shots in there, of course. They just have to score once to be worthwhile...

I managed to use up every single point this year, thanks to my $6 high jumper
I can't wait to see how I do this time. |

___I did the same. I laso tried to get quiet a few 200 m runners. However, I am going to be happy, if I am going to make the top half.
___My life for the last 27 months has been a mess, and it has been progressively getting worse and worse. :t-:
___I put this team together haphazardly; and in accordance with the Old Good East European Sprot Tradittion, I have to say that all of my picks are injured, and that I will finish in the last place.
___This strategy some times works in sprints;
because there is no time to respond to a person coming from behind you within the last 20 yards of a 100, 200, 400, or 4 x 400 m race -- ask Jerome Young about Robert Mackowiak in Lisbon.

___I hope that I was right. I have moved from the 30th to 29th to 23rd position out of nearly 200 people . The first place and the main prize, however, seems out of my reach.
___I am glad that the three Russian elbow--throwing and pushing-off --thugs, two are on my Fantasy Team, and Lidia Chojecka, the Pole, who is on my Fantasy Team as well, have swept the three top places in the two out of three initial meets.
___In a way, it is a shame that 1500 m -- the metric mile and the mile are not just running events, but wrestling and boxing events as well. I wish that Regina Jacobs were around. She is the only athlete who is quick enough to throw two quick elbows for one received. :t-: _________________ http://vincovitanj.tripod.com/Do_not_be_a_victim1/index.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u43o595CARQ

I made a mistake on a quote-------------------it should be-------------------------" Close is near, but not there"
I love this quote-----------"practice makes progress, but not perfect" This is a quote that I thought up from the quote that says, " practice makes perfect" "Work hard to achieve your goal, and find room to work some more" ! _________________ MISS |
