___Doctor Exum was made into a scape goat. I do not have to agree with him that he was dismissed because he is black to agree that his dismissal was unjust. Doctor Exum was a man who had his priorities in appropriate order. He believed that athlete's health is paramount. Catching drug cheats was second on his list, and the good name of the USATF was ranking high amongst his priorities at the third place. NOTA BENE: other federation cover-up drugs scandals as well and as often as the USATF.
___Doctor Exum's worldview made a lot of sense. By placing athlete's health before his duty to catch drug cheats he, quiet possibly, has saved the USATF from a major scandal -- athletes dying at a young age from overdosing. It has happened in the past, but as far as I can remember not to US athletes.
___I believe that IAAF is going into the right direction by taking off the banned substances list mild and naturally occurring in "each--day diet" substances like caffeine.
