Some days you just gotta vent...

This morning I decided to take a study break and went running at about 5:45. GOOD GRIEF, I absolutely cannot believe how tough a run I had. Methinks this course I'm taking has sapped my energy due to lack of proper sleep habits, "stress", and the academic load.

I couldn't get my heart rate above 164--and that was hoofing it up a pretty nice sized hill. Had to take a break after that one... normally I run it with a pulse of 170 or better and can keep running hard after the top.

I don't remember morning jogs being this difficult.

Maybe there's a bug going around... been feeling slow most of the week, although I made a new PB on our 3 mile course on Monday.

Your body's telling you you should've been sleeping at that hour. Rolling Eyes

You have to be used to running in the mornings, I think.

Whenever I do an early run when I havn't for a while it goes badly.

Definitely takes getting accustomed to. Usually a couple weeks for me.

Then again, I've been running in the mornings consistently for the last fwe months and I still have days where I just feel like total crap.... ie: this morning Smile

I think it's good to get as used to it as possible though, since most races are fairly early.
