There is an excellent article on Ted Corbitt at www.ultrarunning.com
The original article was published in Running Times and gives a good history of Corbitt and his accomplishments. What it does fail to mention though, is that he had some historical battles with the best ultrarunners of his time at the London To Brighton 54 mile race in England. In fact, the Ted Corbitt Trophy is presented each year to the highest placing American at that race.
