| After a day of muddy trail runs, i left my shoes out to dry. . . and they got molded... is there any way to avoid this? |

I've never heard of that happening, and I've seen more than my share of extremely muddy runs. Cheap shoes will sometimes dry out and get really crusty, but getting moldy soon after a run would seem to be a sign of an existing problem.
Rinsing the mud off after running and placing the shoes over a heat register couldn't hurt.
