I'm a sophomore in college who took up cross country running last
year. What would you suggest to stay in shape over the summer. I plan
on rejoining the team next year. What are some tips and skill you
would recommend to strengthen up for the coming season. Thank you. |

Basic XC preparation is pretty simple: build up the mileage. A good goal might be to reach the mileage level by late summer that you finished the season at last fall (assuming you didn't taper down at the end of the season). The idea is to have a good endurance base to work from. You also want to keep your leg speed up, though, otherwise you'll feel too sluggish when the hard workouts begin.

That is a pretty broad topic and we could write for hours on any variety of things. It would probably work best if you have specific questions to ask. Then we can tailor our responses to those questions.
Did you run cross country in high school or did your running career start in college, and if so what motivated you to start? _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |
