I know that 200 m indoors s..ks. However, what if the six-lane 200 m track was transformed to six-lane 300 m track. I have never approached the problem of the lanes number and the track length from the scientific perspective. However, my got feeling is that six-lane track 300 m long MAY BE as fair as eight-lane track 400 m long.
I know what you are going to say: that some areas have no such a thing. However, all any area planning to conduct its indoor championships needs is just ONE FACILITY. |

If the facility existed, then by all means, go for it. I doubt anyone prefers running on the smaller track... It would certainly make races like the 200m more competitive.
