Hi all!
I'm back more or less. There is good and bad news (like alway's)
The good news is that it is not the big "C".
The bad news is that I am going to have a lot of pain while running. It turned out to be a fluid filled cyst, but they do not want to go after it, so I will just deal with the pain.
There also seems to be a little tear in the right "Pectineus". I have no idea how I did that Hmmm, can you do that weight lifting? And no smart answers Paul...I don't want the hammer of Dan crashing down on me again
Oh well, I was getting too fast anyway
Thank you all for giving me a little space to deal with this, and thanks to Paul and Jafar for the messages.
Ok, Dan...what did I miss? _________________ If I could only run like John Capel... |

Glad to hear you're doing reasonably well. Running in pain doesn't sound great, but I suppose it's better than the alternatives. Anything you've been told to avoid?

Well, they did not want me running for a while, so I agreed to two weeks of 400mg ibuprofen twice a day, sitting in a tub of hot water for 15 min twice a day, and no wild activities I said who cares about that? I wana run. He laughed and the GF punched me in the arm
I told the doc that if running would not make it worse, then when the temps got up over 32 degrees, I would be back at it. The doc was not happy, but did not say no.
I'm going to start out slow again, probably 2 mile runs twice a week or so. Wow, 4 miles a week...now THAT hurts... and I was up to 30 miles a week!
Oh well...rehab time, just like Paul
I have a trail run in March that I am the featured runner, so I will do what ever it takes, and a lot of ibuprofen _________________ If I could only run like John Capel... |
