It's been suggested before, and my only real aversion to it is programatically, I don't have a built-in way of scoring different meets at different ratios. I could probably whip something up, but I'm not yet convinced it's worth the trouble... Yes, it's different and adds a new wrinkle, but is it better, worse, or just different? I don't see there being any clear cut answer.

I don't know how difficult it would be to change the scoring system, but it definitely would be worth it in aspect to the scoring and selection. The suggested way allocating double the points at the Worlds would force players to weigh picking some athletes with great cost over others who may not fair well at the World but appear on the circuit.

But those are the same considerations already in place due to the weighted pricing of athletes (=FLOOR(((RANK-1000)^3)/8400, 1)). All it would do is adjust the adjustments one way or the other, and I'm just not seeing how a case can be made for that being any better (or worse).

Can anyone tell me where I can find the list of athletes that have been for selection?
