I would like to see a couple more events but I have no clue about what all you have to do to make this thing work. So, if eight events is all we can do then let's do it.

Besides, with this lineup being heavy to the mids and distances I am bound to win. No need for the rest of you to even play. Very Happy

More events means more data entry... Wink

More distance races means more chances to guess wrong at "name the latest Kenyan"...

I've got the meets and events set up in the database and the athlete lists mostly processed. Using last year's cost setting formula, there's some eye opening price tags...

As soon as I finish up the lists and load it up, I'll open up the contest so everyone can log in and start looking things over ... make sure there's no mistakes, athletes that need to be added (i.e. didn't compete last year so not on the IAAF lists), etc.

I think the basis for the contest was well thought out and anticipate great success. One thing that I would suggest in the future (or maybe this year)is the World Championships maybe counting (1.5 or twice) for more than the other meets. The events are all track; therefore, the athletes are all aiming for the Championships (unlike the marathoners). A Gold Medal against the best in the world to me weighs alittle more than a 1st place at any Golden League or Grand Prix meet. The fact that the run-down (dare I call us managers) players would then have to take into consideration that most of the higher priced athletes would be favored to place better, would add an interesting twist to roster selection.
