I wouldn't worry too much about that. Your calf has been through a fair amount of trauma, between the initial tensing/injury and the treatment, so some aftershock is to be expected. Just keep on working on flexibility (and strength balancing), and maybe another trip or two to the massage therapist. Probably good to ice it down after runs for the time being, too. That'll help take the edge off and get rested up for the next run.

OK the return continues...
With a scant 7 or so weeks left I ran my first real week of training last week 50 miles - I shoul dbe up closer to 60 this week... not to much hard stuff though unless you coulnt the hills around here and the 12 miler I did on Sunday up and VanCortland Park before the USA Winter XC Nationals... I will put another post in about that it was a blast got some good shots as well.
I need to try to get some more pace stuff in this week probably will try to put the hammer down for a few tomorrow morning... _________________ The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat. |

No pain... some stiffness/soreness and general fatigue but I think that is to be expected. _________________ The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat. |
