Not looking particularly strong for me.
100m

Well you'll be pleased with Zakari because he just won the 100m A race running 10.00 (+1.1) for a convincing win over a class field. _________________ Doubt whom you will, But never yourself.

I, on the other hand, had Ato Boldon who got blitz with a 10.47 for 7th !!! The only man he beat was the one who DQ'd out of the race ... _________________ Conway

Zakari's been my horse this year. Too bad the rest of my squad isn't following his example.

Results are in:

Points-wise, it was a disastrous meet for me. Fortunately, most people didn't fare much better and I actually moved up a spot. Conway, of course, sped right on by with a much better showing...

My lone bright spot from this meet is Zakari is the top scoring athlete overall through 5 meets. Of course, #2 is Yiampoy who I had in and out of my roster 2 or 3 times...
Oh, and Ramzi's still obliterating the Score/Cost ratio leader board, but my other selections are slowly sliding down that list.

I haven't even looked at cost ratios ... I do have Yiampoi however ... He was a no brainer for me ... Have to say I wasn't up on Ramzi ... But I did get Hesko ... Zurich will tell if my tact of loading up on sprinters was smart or not ... But figured that the sprinters would have to run this time around if they really wanted a shot at Olympic gold ... Easier to compete less frequency in some events, but sprinting requires some competition ... _________________ Conway

I avoided the African distance selections for the most part, because it's so difficult to project who will be hot that year. But I saw how Yiampoy did at the Kenyan champs and have no idea why I talked myself out of picking him...
Ramzi set the world leader just a few days before the contest began, so he was an easy pick for anyone that happened to catch that. I nearly missed it until the last minute.

I saw the time but considered it a fluke (Ramzi's) ... Was looking for a bit more consistency ... What I didn't do was pick hurdlers ... Most of the hurdlers I liked were expensive ... So I went with sprinters that were cheaper .... and I never know who is going to show in the long races ... Same for the field ... _________________ Conway

We don't have any hurdles races this year...
I forgot what exactly I read about Ramzi, but it indicated he was going to be much more of a factor this year. I think he may have been one of the guys rabbiting ElG in Finals or something along those lines. Regardless, for mere pocket change, it was too good to pass on.
I've got a small army of sprinters waiting in the stables...

THAT's what it was !!!!! I just thought the only guys I'd want were Johnson or Liu and I knew they would be expensive ...
You have a small army, but do you have the right soldiers ???? _________________ Conway

Of course they're the right soldiers, they're on my team! The appropriate question would be, am I fighting the right war?
