Yeah, buying paper towels at Costco takes one whole shopping cart! By the way, picked up my HL-1440 yesterday and added 32 MB Ram to it.  |

Wow, you're not messing around! I think mine is 2 or 4 meg, whatever the default is (the 1240 isn't expandable in the memory department, much like its loving owner). Did you get it at the Gateway store? I looked on their site and it was a higher price... Do you have it hooked up and working yet?

I ended up getting it at Office Max. It was 249.99 with a 50 instant rebate. Got a 32 MB SIMM at Fry's but for some reason the printer only recognizes 16 MB of it. I should get a hold of tech support to see if they can give me a reason why. Also, the disc in the package didn't run in my disc drive very well, so I had to download from the Brother's website. It is up and running, but I have some questions that I will run by you when I come down.
