When the match day 8 was half—over, I did join the www.uefa.com predictor fan zone game for Euro Champs'2008 soccer qualifications. After scoring only for half—the—day and joining on the 8th day of competition, I was in the 20,003rd place, and was 6,016th for the day. Since than, I did advance overall to the 5,433rd place, and was 616th out of 36,671 participants on the last match day. I am participating as Robert Kolakowski, and belong to the Match_Day_9_League.
My Fantasy team has been improving at a much slower place. I joined the competition on the match day 8 as Kolakowski_NJ (League_of_08SEP07), and at present my virtual team is in the disappointing 67,249th position out of 89,331 teams.
I would love to see how does my virtual team and predictions do compare to others who joined on match day 8, 8 1/2, and 9. _________________ http://vincovitanj.tripod.com/Do_not_be_a_victim1/index.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u43o595CARQ

I improved my Fantasy Team greatly before match day 13. I traded some lesser players and acquired members of the match day 12 dream team: Jankulovski (Czech: defender), Ronaldo (Portuguese: midfielder); Smolarek (Pole: midfielder; as well as Krzynowek); Rommedahl (Dane: midfielder) as well as Tomasson (Dane: attacker). In addition, I did acquire Jaaskelainen (Finn: goal keeper) as well as Tohinen (Finn: defender), since Finland not only hosts a week Eurasian side, but is in the must win situation (translation: they cannot allow any goals while they score at least one); I acquired two Croatian players: defender, Corluka, and attacker, Eduardo. Yes—they will play an away game against a solid side, FYR Macedonia, but Croats have been a class act all throughout the eliminations in every game. My staring 11 is completed by Zigic, a Serb striker. The Serbs are also in a must win situation.
My substitute man is ... Hassler from Luxembourg. Why? They just beat Island 3:0, and even though I hope that he will not need to factor in, I do believe that they will not loose away to Latvia by too many goals, if at all. _________________ http://vincovitanj.tripod.com/Do_not_be_a_victim1/index.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u43o595CARQ

Final Report for the Euro the Qualification Phase:
The Fantasy Football (soccer):
I joined on the Match Day # 8 when most games had finished; the 1st whole match game that I did play was Match Day # 9.
My final score is 210 points, and my final position is 60,365th out of 95,022 participants. I do admit that during match days #8, #9, and #10 my team did suffer from lousy management, mea culpa.
On the last, Match Day#14, I did finish, for only the very match day, in 4203rd place out of, again, 95,022 participants. I scored 45 points.
In the Predictor Competition, I did start on the same match day and under the same set of circumstances, but I was much more diligent in selecting my picks (the more unlikely the pick the more points you can score, if you pick correctly); I finished in the 4,586th position out of 39,583 participants. I accumulated 2532 points. On Match Day 14, and only on this match day, I was 1978th out of nearly 40 thousands of participants, and scored 407 points. _________________ http://vincovitanj.tripod.com/Do_not_be_a_victim1/index.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u43o595CARQ

It's a lot of fun. Google it or check out how some work on ESPN. I do a few leagues with friends every year as well but mostly for football. |

Generally, but not necessarily. We've got a Fantasy contest here for summer track and field.

Simple Rule of Making of the Team
Make it of the players of the team that faces a team that almost never earns a point
11/10/08__Round:
LUX_ISR [Benayoun; Sahar] -- I like the simplicity of the approach of the Israeli coach; if you score in the last game, you start! Makes my Fantasy Life easier!
WAL_LIE [Volkes; Ledley]
ENG_KAZ [Cole]
FRI_AUT [May be Janko and Aufhauser]
I did find another gem:
BIH_ARM [MISIMOVIC, MUSLIMOVIC, and DZEKO]
BIH just beat Estonia 7:0!!!
15/10/08_Round
CRO_AND [Mordic and may be Kovac and Petric]
LIT_FRI [Stankievicius and Mikoliunas and may be Kalonas]
Rounds 3 & 4 both:
Costra Rica: Alonso, Borges and may be Ledezma as well as Alpizar, Ruiz, and Solis
El Salvador: Torres and may be Zelaya as well as Larios
Poland, US, Brazil ... fillers in
Poland is not in the best shape and the US tries to qualify with as little effort as possible... _________________ http://vincovitanj.tripod.com/Do_not_be_a_victim1/index.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u43o595CARQ
