I can only run at marathon pace for 1 hour non stop (13 miles) maybe 1:10, but I can't go beyond that anymore. After I ran my 10k under 30 min today for the first time, I had no idea that I was actually going at 5 minute pace because I used a timer for every 272 meter lap that I ran in 30 minutes which was about 37 laps. It felt easy since I ran it starting at 5:00 a.m. the cool temperature kept me dry. What kind of drills do the pro marathoners do with a time between 2:04 and 2:20? _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8

http://members.iinet.net.au/~peterg1/run/aths.html What oh my god, how does Haile run 5x2000m in 64 seconds a lap??? I feel pathetic comapred to him.... He is running at like 12.5 miles an hour on the treadmill in this video, and thats who fast I run my 400s....He makes it look so easy like he is jogging. Let's say that I have a Vo2 of 78 ml/kg/min. And I can run sub 4 under 3:50. Now why can't I run like 1 minute slower for 26 miles? My plan is to slowly increase the treadmill speed until it gets at max, and I can run at that speed for a long time. So maybe increase the speed by .1 every two weeks, I should get there in no time. _________________ My favorite all time race: Hicham El Guerrouj - Prefontaine Classic Mile 2002 http://youtube.com/watch?v=4YykUTHzOL8
