I was also thinking about switching ISP's to Netscape. Gave it a shot for a month. They offer the Web Accelerator free, and its only $9.95. But they change your DNS settings and install a toolbar that you can't get rid of, so I bagged the whole thing and stayed with my original ISP. Netscape is owned by AOL, so how long do you think the $9.95 price is going to last??
I sure am happy I sent off those eTN pdf files promptly, because I don't have them anymore from the beginning of the year until about two weeks ago. _________________ Paul

Paul, have you had a crash recovery specialist look at the computer to see if the OE mail is recoverable? If so, perhaps you could get it back up and running long enough to import into Thunderbird.

I never had anyone look at my computer. All my saved files were imported by Thunderbird. Any eTN that I lost, those results show up in my T&FN magazine that comes every month. The truth is, I haven't missed all those emails I lost, which means my housekeeping habits are atrocious. _________________ Paul

I switched to Mozilla Firefox about 9 months ago, and I like what I see. But I've only been using Thunderbird now for a month maybe. _________________ My Athlinks profile - some road races I've done and stuff |

Here's something I just learned about for Firefox/Mozilla speed improvements:

Early indications are promising. (I'm told not to bother setting max requests to anything over 8).
edit: didn't notice the unwanted smiley conversion...
