|
|
1. TRACK AND FIELD:
The indoor area and world championships should be made into a competition as different from the outdoors as possible. I do believe that the events should be:
60m -- 300m -- 500m -- 1K -- 1M -- 2M
60m H and 4 x 300m relay
The same multievents as at present
No Long Jump and Triple Jump, but Dual (two bounces) Jump
Standing High Jump
The same shot put, but with a heavier implement (+2 lbs each).
The same pole vault.
2. SOCCER:
No soccer in Olympics (since it is Soccer under 23 plus 3 only; and there are already World Championships' Finals also known as World Cup each 4 years).
No Champions League and Europa League, but end to over--comercialization (the Black Friday of Pro Sports is commimg; but as few are willing to listen as in 1928), and Champions League as well as Europa League with half--the--teams qualifying through re--activated Cup of the National Cup Winners, and the other half comming from amongst the teams that do not make play--off's in the Champions League.
No indirect free kick from the goal box's line, but short corners either from the intersection of the goal line and the side--line of the goal box, or the intersection of the goal line and the side--line of the penalty box, depending on where the minor infraction took place.
Three O.T.'s instead of one 30 minutes long; each 10 minutes long. Each coach would be allowed 30s Time Out in each O.T. 1 extra and 1 at most substitution in each O.T. as well as substitution can be only made during the changing of the sides between or before O.T.'s or during the Time Out.
PENALTIES: no 5, but 3 in the initial Penalty Shootout.
3. CYCLING:
Why do they dope?
What would you do if you had to run 21 marathons in 30 days?
Limit the maximum distance in the professional road races.
Let say maximum stage would be 100 miles or 161 K, maximum duration 30 days as well as maximum number of stages 21; maximum total distance 2000 K (average under 100 K a stage).
4. Back to Track and Field and ... LANES:
No lottery: based on their times from the previous heat, the athletes pick their lanes in the same order.
5. Olympic Rules Baseball:
Game Clock with penalties for violation: the game must end within 3 hours (7 innings only).
6. Basketball:
I do tend to watch the last quart; therefore, in the case of the Olympic version, the 1st quart should be 6 minutes, second 6 minutes, 3rd 6 minutes, and the last 30 minutes.
7. Hold the Trithlon Ironman in New Jersey in September. _________________ http://vincovitanj.tripod.com/Do_not_be_a_victim1/index.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u43o595CARQ

I will write them when I do remember them.
But ...
8. MLS and other refs who take it in too--personal--a--way when they issue yellow and red cards to players.
The polite (not making the players even more exitted), but firm way to issue a warning or expel the player is...
...do not run into his or her face; do not push--throw the card into her or his face; calm yourself down; stop running; step a couple steps back and call the player; halt him or her about 4 feet away from you; pump with your forearms and flat palms (the palms should be positioned parallel to the ground) towards the gournd and back up only twice; issue the warning firmly while offering the pithiest of explenations; do not tolerate any back talk!
9. Make marathons more exiting by stealing the ideas from the pro bicycle races. Offer small money and/or other awards for the 1st runner in age or weight group who is not an elite runner to reach the 1K, 1st mile, the 1st 10K, and the 21st K and the 1st none--elite runner to reach the toughest two hills and the steepest ... run-down's bottom as well as to the over--all winner of all these let say 7--seven challanges.
10. Make marathons pass over the local runners' paths (such as in Newark, New Jersey), and over the tracks of local schools (such as during the NYC marathon) as well as trough the local malls or shopping centers such as NJ Garden State Mall in Elizabeth, NJ (the runners would be offered free sport drinks and water in cups covered with coupons for the local stores). _________________ http://vincovitanj.tripod.com/Do_not_be_a_victim1/index.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u43o595CARQ
