I have a question about the European National Club Championships that will replace in 2009 the Euro Cup and that will end the division between men and women; in the new format, starting with 400 m and logner distances, there will be two separate heats (there will be 12 national teams in the Super Leage and 12 in the 1st Division); what will happen in the case of the case of 100 m up to 200 m races?
Will there be three heats of 8 athletes? 2 athletes from each country?
It would make a lot of sense, since it takes 4 men and 4 women to run relays anyway.
3 x 8 = 24
24 / 2 = 12 countries
Does anyone know the answer?
Other changes:
in the long distance races, last athletes after certain number of laps will have to walk--off the track; in the jumps, an athlete will be allowed only 4 missed attempts; and no false starts charged to the field -- 1st false start and the athlete is out! _________________ http://vincovitanj.tripod.com/Do_not_be_a_victim1/index.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u43o595CARQ
