Are you doing summer races? How'd the season go? Haven't heard from you for a while...

I was injured for most indoor, and the start of outdoor, so I'm a little behind in the training, mainly the speed department. I'm planning to counter balance that with a later peak (like August, or late July).
I did manage to run a 1500 in 4 flat a few weeks ago, so I think my overall fitness is better than last year, I just need to get into race shape. It looks like things are finally starting to turn around though. I did a 2x(400,200,200) workout today in 54,26,27,53,26,27 which absolutely shocked me since I've never actually gone faster than 55 before.
Anyways, I'll stop stealing this thread and make my own when I have some more news. I'm sure the 3:45 is coming any time now |

Not bad at all for that much missed time. The turnover is a pleasant surprise!

Very impressive workout. What kind of rest intervals were you using?? _________________ Paul

2 mins after the 400's, 1 minute after the 200's, and 10 minutes between the two sets.
The 10 minute set break was key, it gave me enough time to jog out a lot of the lactic acid. It's kind of weird too because I'm used to short rest, so doing a real speed workout is a nice change of pace... No pun intended |

Even more impressive. That's just a bit more than 2:1 rest to work ratio within each set, making for a tough workout. _________________ Paul
