Agreed ... And the saddest part is that I don't think he had reached his limit yet !!! So we were all deprived of seeing just how l ow the record could have been taken !!! Definitely below 9.70 in my opinion ...
Ben was technically the soundest sprinter ever by '88 ... And he had perfected the greatest start in history ... You can talk about drugs all you want ... But NO ONE has gotten to where they could start the way Ben did ... And once out Ben was linear movement and power !!! A shame what happened !!! _________________ Conway

No question. Even that race wasn't his ultimate performance on the day, because he eased up well before the line. Given his rate of progression at the time, it's hard to project what the limit might have been over the next couple of years.
