I'd have to agree. Bolt had the time but no season. Crawford had the times and the finishes, Gatlin had the times (but not much depth), Bernard had the important finishes and good consistency with the times, and Fredericks and Obikwelu were neck and neck with times and finishes. I might give the slight nod to Obikwelu.

1) Crawford
2) Gatlin
3) Williams
4) Obikwelu
5) Fredericks
6) Buckland
6) Powell
8) Unger

I think those are the players .. I might switch Gat and Williams ... Only because of the Games and Williams did run in Europe ... And I might move Powell up as he did very well in Europe .... Also Fredericks was 4th at the Games and ran well in Europe so should move up a notch ...

1. Crawfaord
2. Williams
3. Gatlin
4. Fredericks
5. Obikwelu
6. Powell
7. Buckland
8. Unger

Hey Dan we actually agree on most things here amazing... haha

I just did a little checking and I would still give the nod to Frankie
As far as the rankings go on IAAF Frankie beat Francis in Athens, and vice versa in Paris - what I see in Finals during the year is a more consistant performance from Frankie (Two wins Brussels and Laussane, 1 2nd - Monaco, 3rd Paris, 4th Athens) Obikwelu (one win Paris, a 3rd - Zurich, and a 5th Athens) Frankie had 4 times 10.21 or better, Obikwelu 2
