I've never heard of that running club Micah, until now. You by chance know what their website is? I've never been to the museum in that area.
Did my first practice with the cross country team the other day... Ran my furthest yet, 4 1/2 miles. Would like to be able to run close to 7-8 by the end of the season |

Nice improvement on the run length. Keep those increments coming!

Zowie!! Did you check some of the stuff on the BuffaloChips website?? Their training schedule would rival a college program. I glanced at results for the Fleet Feet Davis Mile. A 51 yr old woman ran 5:35. I would have to run sub 5:50 just to break in to the Top 30 of my age division (50-59) . Its always a great motivator (let alone, ego buster) to see what other regions in the country do.

Ever look at the new people who register?? A guy by the name of Dick registered in Sept of 2003. He has never posted, but he listed his website, which I visited. Turns out this guy is Richard Boulet, one of the top Masters in the nation. 5K's under 15 !! I looked at some of the race results. 60 yr old women who would smoke me. _________________ Paul

Yeah, I noticed when Richie registered last year and was curious if he'd chime in. Just a fly by, though. He used to be quite active in the early days of the t-and-f list, while at Cal and shortly after.

Yeah I love looking through race results and finding some little gems - always of course checking out friends results as well
As far as the Buffalo Chips site - very cool did you guys see the criteria for getting a Singlet for free - damn... Some quick people out that way!
Verdic - As far as drinks I mostly just go with Water - after especially hard workouts its just the old standby for me Gatorade (esp with heat) In long races I will sometimes use GU 13 miles or longer (I find it easier to digest than the other Gels) _________________ The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat. |
