I just saw the craziest thing on TV. They've got these bull fights down in Mazatlan that aren't quite your typical bullfights. Well, part of it's regular... They have one part that has the bulls charging horses against the wall (with a rider on the horse), which I'm sure animal rights activists love. But the truly crazy part is where several people line up in a row and try to stop a charging bull. Yes, you heard that right. They don't try to evade it, they try to stop it ... with their chest! The first couple guys get trampled while the guys behind them try to use the roadblock to their advantage to wrestle the bull to the ground. Brutal.

I don't know if their courage was of the liquid variety or not, but they sure had some big, well, you know...

Do those people not die? Unless the bulls are de-horned, I'd think that a puncture from the horn anywhere around the heart would cause death.

No, those bulls definitely had horns. They showed several of the people being carried off on stretchers, but they didn't appear to be dead... I'm guessing the horns don't usually hit them, or at least not dead center, since the bull's head is fairly wide relative to the human torso.
Absolutely bizarre event.
