Usain Bolt ran 19.93s on yesterday on Easter Sunday at the Carifta Games in Barbados, to take a huge 0.20s of of the previous WJR of 20.13s wich he held jointly with Roy Martin (USA)...WOW

I hope he can stay healthy for the future...I do not want to see another Obea Moore! _________________ Doubt whom you will, But never yourself.

This is one of the most awesome marks ever in my humble opinion ... This kid is something else ... He's put the heat on everyone in the deuce ... I expect this event to take off now .. _________________ Conway

Wow! I was extremely impressed with him at the World Junior meet in Canada last summer. Can't say I'm surprised by this time, based on what I saw back then, but boy is it impressive.
Glad the 200's a GL event this year.

You mean Fantasy T&F? I'd have to look at where he ranks from last year's times. He's probably a good value for the purchase price, but I would guess he'll race sparingly and not amass as many points as expected from someone that good.

Those mirror my thoughts ... His people have been very careful with him and I don't expect that to change ... I would imagine he will run a 400 before the jamaican Trials .. then maybe another race before the Games ... But I don't foresee much more than that ...
But boy will he make the Games interesting !!!!! _________________ Conway

Watching Usain runs reminds me of the feeling I got watching JJ Johnson's big 19.8 breakthrough a couple of years ago. Just eating up the track and looking like he had barely scratched the surface of how fast he could go. I have a feeling Usain will be more consistent, though.

The difference between Usain and JJ as I see it, is where they are from ... Here in the US, JJ is one of many ... In Jamaica Usain is the second coming !!! Usain will be nurtured and given every opportuity to reach his full potential ... JJ is on his own to find adequate coaching, training, etc ...
People often talk about all of the resources that are available in this country ... And its true that there are an abundance of resources here ... However, access to those resources are limited ... So for many it is as if the resources do not exist at all .. Although for JJ he could have gotten anyone in the country to coach him ... So with him it has been about poor choices ... _________________ Conway

Funny thing is, we never hear anything about the resources Jamaica has available. Just an endless supply of extremely talented sprinters, but not a single coach or training facility that I can ever remember hearing by name.

Well they do something right .... And someone over there knows a thing or two ... Yeah a lot of kids come to school here, but they typically return and it is usually as they mature that they really become stars ... Which is why I find Bolt so interesting ... Theoretically he is just beginning to scratch the surface ... _________________ Conway
