Yeah, that was said with tongue in cheek.....the last I heard of Gabe he was riding a bicycle to South America to get his head right for Olympic training. _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

If Gabe is the future of US miling then we might as well blow it up now !!! I'm not sure I understand how he made the last team other than the fact that we have been very weak in that area ... His blow up in Sydney was all too typical for him ...
Would much rather see someone like Lunn make the team this time around .. Anyone know what happened to Stember ??? He seemed to have some promise although he could have suffered from hanging out with Gabe ...
Does anyone else think K-nakker could medal this time around ??? _________________ Conway

That whole Stanford crew seemed pretty flakey to me. Even the Hausers seem to have caught the bug...
Is Krummenacker healthy now? As I recall, he never really got into full swing last year. I think he's got the ability to medal if everything goes perfectly, but he has a fairly slim margin of error.

I see Krummenacker making the final but not medaling.
In my opinion, Stember is not consistent enough to be first tier, USA.
The current crop of Stanford runners seem to be better grounded than their predecessors.
The last couple of years, I have focused more on running style, technique, if you will. When I look at Gabe, I see someone with great turnover, but no stride. Unless he undergoes a major change in running economy, I see no room for improvement.
Contrast Gabe's style with Berryhill's. Berryhill overstrides and is a heel striker. Definite no-no's in the middle distance events. And no turnover, which seems odd since he came from a 400m high school background. Which leaves the door open for someone like Webb. _________________ Paul
