About 4 weeks ago I started having shin pains, but kept running on them for over a week. Then they got to the point where I couldn't run on them at all and were hurting 24/7. Went to a dr and he said no running for 2 weeks. Its been a tad over 2 weeks and i'm getting ready to go test out the legs tomorrow I believe. Our confernce and district meets are in a month, how much of my fitness have I lost and can I expect enough improvement in a month to even come back at near normal pace? I did some swimming and biking, but not much over the past 15 days. Any advice would be great.

As far as making sure you are over the shin problems, I would suggest taking a look at the running tips pages, if you haven't already.
Two weeks off will leave you feeling a bit rusty, but not much loss of conditioning. Generally, you can miss 2-3 weeks before the lungs and legs truly start to suffer. As long as you are healthy when you come back, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
Cheers,
