I noticed that y'all military/law enforcement types referred to us as Females...but even when I was in the Navy I was always a lady...most of the time.
Hey folks. If you read Ranger's post about mixin' it up, I'm the GF that's been running him into the ground this past week. I gently coerced him into 8 miles Saturday, so he had a weekly mileage of 23 plus a short run yesterday.
As far as mixin' it up, I promise, I'll only wisk. No puree. _________________ EZ-PASS THIS LANE ONLY. |

Don't worry Ranger, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... Eventually you'll be man enough to say "no mas."

Well at least I got to break in the new Asics Gel-Cumulus V's
I now have 3 pair of running shoes, and I think I need one more pair so that I have all the running conditions covered.
I found out the hydration backpack would be good for trail races, but I am sticking to the fuel belt for the road stuff.
....and um Dan...I am a little worried...she is quite the task master when it comes to training/running...
Oh BTW, Larry/"Brutal" said Hi (from sub 10). That guy alway's seems to be in the "thick of things"...

Light weight trainers for everything ... keep it simple.
Do I know Larry?

OK, GF, no more flirting around the posts here! No beating around the bush. We need some vital statistics, such as:
1) Favorite shoes
2) Favorite running surface (no joke, some actually prefer asphalt over trails)
3) Favorite training distance
4) Favorite race distance
5) Best times
Oh, did I neglect to mention "Welcome Aboard" !!
Took in a light run in Salem, today with Dan. First time in six months. His place is really looking sharp. His audio-video system is second to none. Watched the pod race from Episode 1. I don't remember if I breathed or not. |

Ranger, that's good!! You need someone to kick you out the door (and join you, too) when the weather turns. |

Believe it or not, between the last time you were down here and today, I can only think of 3 or 4 times that I've actually run with anyone, and I've been running a steady 5-6 days a week that entire time.

Paul is too kind. I can point out several people's home theater setups that I studied from online which I can only hope to come close to, at least in terms of aesthetics. But for packing a punch, I'll put my system up against the best commercial theaters out there...

I enjoy running with people, but there are many times you are out there to accomplish something, and at those times it may be best to go it alone. If I want to run a certain pace with a certain recovery, that doesn't usually go with what others want to do. |

I think you may, as he knows you. He moderates another technical running web site and brought up your name when I mentioned this one.
He's also they guy who's going to pick my fantasy T&F team for next year. Heh Heh Heh.....

1) Favorite shoes - NB 1022's but I have a pair of Asics on order. I had a pair of Nike shocks that did my hip in.
2) Favorite running surface (no joke, some actually prefer asphalt over trails) Asphalt. Yes...asphalt. I hate gravel in my shoes.
3) Favorite training distance I like it LONG AND SLOW. The most I've ever done is 13. I like Ten.
4) Favorite race distance 10k and up. Those are mostly about covering the distance, rather than speed for me.
5) Best times
1 mile - 7.54
5K - 28.01
4 miles - 34:sumpin
10K - 59.34
10 miles - 1:41 _________________ EZ-PASS THIS LANE ONLY. |
