I am not sure how many members here are from PA or nearby States, but I am running the Tyler 10k trail race near Media PA on April 5th. If anyone is interested, feel free to post or contact me by email or RD message system. Yes folks, you too can run with the Ranger , or possibly pass the Ranger ...or even leave the Ranger in your dust ...... I would love to have one or more Run-Down folks join me. _________________ If I could only run like John Capel... |

Would love to but it is a little far.
However, we will be expecting a detailed race report.  _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

It'll be interesting to see how all that treadmill training prepares you for the trails.

RG, do you have a link we can go to with maybe a map, so we can see what your run will consist of.
Good luck!! I hope you can get some good running outdoors over the next 3 weeks. |

I'm not sure Paul, but I will check.
It usualy consists of rocks, mud, water, trees, pickers, and hills. Oh, you mean the course layout..... _________________ If I could only run like John Capel... |

Going through the New England runners' club scene is kind of interesting. There is a lot of activity there. They have a Grand Prix style scoring called the Grand Tree . I think you have to run at least six races to be eligible. Hope we hear from RangerG. Maybe Micah knows something. |

Haven't heard anything from RG or Jafar since we talked about meeting in Quantico this summer. Hope they are ok. _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

Sorry All,
I came back from the race, and was sent to Port Arthur Texas on business. I just got back on Friday. I got hit with a bad side cramp about half way thru Tyler, but still finished a bit faster than last year.
I need to do more outdoor training...the tread mill just did not do the job for me.
I have a ton of work to do, so it is hard to get on here, but I will be back soon. I did get the insurance checks for contents and structure rebuild. So there is a little light at the end of the tunnel.
I think this year I need to concentrate on breathing and lung capacity. I will post a thread on that later and ask for advice. No groin pain, so that is a good sign. I'm thinking wind sprints this weekend.
On the weight training side, I picked up a heavy duty abb crunch bench, and it is helping a lot. Next step....Smith Machine!! (I found one at a super price).
You folks keep running....I'm outa breath ya'll.....
Later...G _________________ If I could only run like John Capel... |
