Ran here at the office today during lunch.
This is the time of year for the sand gnats and they were out today. 
The obnoxious buggers were flying faster than I was running. 
AND THE DAMNED THINGS BITE

Are you near a beach or do the sand gnats occupy the city areas? I've been feasted on by critters of that type before, and it's definitely annoying.

My office is on the south side of Savannah which is just 10 miles or so from the ocean. But we have a river and salt marshes just a couple of miles from the office so the gnats are plentiful.
But on the other hand we have these beautiful, majestic live oak trees dripping with spanish moss. Old restored homes and buildings that date back to the late 1700's. 
And the azaleas are in bloom.

Ah yes, pros and cons. Sounds like a lovely scene, aside from the man-eating bugs.
